Splash Play's NBA DFS tool, built by Chris Spags, projects fantasy points for every player on the DraftKings and FanDuel slates you select during the NBA season, main slates and Showdowns alike. The Projection Matrix puts each player's salary, minutes, projection and value side by side so you can compare options before you build.
Check the minutes behind a projection before the projection itself. A late scratch moves minutes to teammates, and in NBA DFS minutes move everything else.
DraftKings scores 1 per point, 0.5 per made three, 1.25 per rebound, 1.5 per assist, 2 per steal or block and minus 0.5 per turnover, plus 1.5 for a double-double and 3 more for a triple-double. FanDuel scores 1 per point, 1.2 per rebound, 1.5 per assist, 3 per steal or block and minus 1 per turnover, with no three-point or double-double bonus. Steals and blocks count for more on FanDuel, so the same player can rank differently on each site. The tool projects each player in the scoring of the site you pick, against that site's salaries.
Rosters: a DraftKings classic lineup is PG, SG, SF, PF, C, G, F and UTIL under a $50,000 cap. FanDuel's is PG, SG, SF, PF, C, G/F, F/C and two UTIL under $60,000.
The numbers are re-run as injury reports and starting lineups come in, so a scratch reaches his teammates' minutes and projections in the next run. Every free page linked below prints the time of the run it shows, so check that time before you build.
A projection forecasts a player's fantasy points. Ownership estimates how much of the field will roster him. The simulations play out the slate thousands of times, drawing every player's score around his projection, building opposing fields that match projected ownership, and showing each lineup's modeled floor, ceiling and chance to finish first. Simulation results are model outputs, not a prediction of tonight's box score or a promise of winnings.
Showdown is a one-game contest. You pick six players from either team with no position requirements. One of them fills the DraftKings Captain or FanDuel MVP slot and scores 1.5 times his points; on DraftKings the Captain also costs 1.5 times his salary.
These pages are free and update with each run of the DraftKings main slate.
Squirt Squad covers matchup screens and the Projection Matrix. Squirt Squad VIP adds SPAGS projections, exports and simulation results, which show a modeled floor and ceiling instead of a single score. Apex adds lineup browsing and the Portfolio Builder for NFL, NBA and MLB. Compare memberships.
