Why Can't I Withdraw From Polymarket US?
Most often, you can't withdraw from Polymarket US because your deposit hasn't fully cleared, which typically takes 3 to 4 business days. The other causes it lists are a method you didn't deposit with, outdated bank details on an ACH payout, money still in open orders or positions, promotional credits, which are for trading only and can't be withdrawn, and anti-money-laundering review.

A deposit that hasn't cleared
Deposits must fully clear before they can be withdrawn, which typically takes 3 to 4 business days, and business days do not include weekends or holidays. Until then the money is what Polymarket US calls funds in flight: you can trade with it, but you can't withdraw it.
Polymarket US may credit part of a deposit as instant buying power so you can trade right away. That has a cap, and to withdraw the original deposit or any proceeds from instant buying power, the funds must fully clear.
Promotional credits are for trading only
Polymarket US says promo credits are trading credits, not cash. They can't be withdrawn, including after they are used in trading or after the position settles or is liquidated, and your own cash is used before the credit.
Its example: a $20 promo credit used in trading stays non-withdrawable, but if that trading produces $10 in eligible proceeds after settlement, up to $10 may become withdrawable. To take it out you need to link a payment method and make an initial deposit, and the money becomes available once that deposit fully clears.
Polymarket US's Refer-A-Friend FAQ words this differently, saying credits “may be withdrawn upon position settlement or liquidation.” Its promotional-credit page and its incentive program terms both say credits can't be withdrawn as cash, so if a balance looks wrong, ask support.
Money in orders, and AML review
Your cash balance is the money not tied to open positions or open orders, and withdrawals can be made only from that cash balance. Selling or closing a position returns the proceeds to cash.
Polymarket US reviews all withdrawals under anti-money-laundering (AML) regulations, and says these checks may temporarily delay processing until verification is complete.
