Polymarket US describes withdrawing as free in its help center's summary of the withdrawal section. Its fee schedule covers trading fees, which are charged only when a trade executes.

Three rules that decide what you can take out

Polymarket US's withdrawal rules page sets out three rules, and it says they exist to meet anti-money-laundering requirements.

First, deposits must fully clear. Money can show in your balance before it clears, and Polymarket US calls that funds in flight. You can trade with it, but not withdraw it. Card and ACH deposits take 3 to 4 business days to clear; a wire takes one.

Second, withdrawals go back to the original funding source. You can't direct them to a new or third-party account. If the card or bank you used is closed, Polymarket US says to contact support.

Third, first in, first out. Withdrawals follow the order of your deposits. Deposit $100 by card and then $200 by ACH, and your first $100 out goes to the card.

Step by step in the app

  • Tap the Portfolio tab at the bottom of the home screen.
  • Tap Withdraw.
  • Tap Send to. If you haven't picked a payout method yet, tap Select payment method.
  • Choose the card, bank account, Apple Pay, PayPal or Venmo account to receive the money.

Money committed to open orders or open positions isn't available to withdraw until it's freed up. Polymarket US says that when you sell, "the proceeds are added immediately to your cash balance."

Before you request a withdrawal

Polymarket US's withdrawal rules lead to these checks:

  • Look at when you deposited. Card and ACH deposits need 3 to 4 business days to clear, and a wire needs one.
  • Check which method you deposited with first. Under first in, first out, that is where your first withdrawal goes.
  • Close or sell open positions if you want that money out. Proceeds from selling go to your cash balance right away.
  • Remember that promo credits stay in the account and can't be part of the amount you withdraw.

If the card or bank account you deposited from has been closed, Polymarket US says to contact support at support@polymarket.us or through the in-app chat, since money can't be sent to a new account on your own.

Promo credits and withdrawals

Polymarket US says promo credits are trading credits, not cash, and can't be withdrawn, even after they are used in a trade or the position settles. Your own cash is used before the credit.

What can come out is anything above the credit. Polymarket US's example: a $20 credit used in trading stays non-withdrawable, but if that trading produces $10 of eligible proceeds after settlement, up to $10 may become withdrawable. To withdraw it you need a linked payment method and an initial deposit that has fully cleared.

The Polymarket US promo code page lists the offer's terms in full, including the deposit window.

Money that is still in open orders or positions follows the same rule as any other balance: it becomes withdrawable once it is back in your cash balance and the deposits behind it have cleared.
