What Polymarket US is

Polymarket US describes itself as “a CFTC-regulated exchange for trading event contracts on real-world outcomes.” It says it is the fiat-based platform, operating as a designated contract market (DCM) and derivatives clearing organization (DCO) under CFTC oversight, trading in US dollars and built for US residents. Each market asks a yes-or-no question about something that will happen in the future, and you can buy or sell before settlement. This page quotes that description; it does not explain event contracts beyond it.

What you can trade on Polymarket US

Polymarket US says it “offers markets on sports (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, college sports, tennis, golf, and more), politics, crypto, economics, weather, tech, and culture.” Splash Play's league pages list the games Polymarket US carries this week, with market counts and no prices on the page:

Prices for Polymarket US markets appear in the Polymarket US App. Nothing on this page is a recommendation to make any trade.

Fees on Polymarket US

Polymarket US publishes a fee schedule for trading. It says standard taker fees and maker rebates are computed with a formula that scales with how uncertain the price is, and its worked examples sit in that schedule. Polymarket US fees explains the schedule with examples from Polymarket US's own pages. Read the current schedule in the Polymarket US App before you trade; fees can change.

Deposits and withdrawals

You fund the account in the Polymarket US App by debit card, bank transfer (ACH), Apple Pay on iPhone, PayPal, Venmo, USDC on iPhone where available, or wire transfer. Withdrawals go back to a method you deposited with. Two Splash Play guides quote the methods, limits and timing from Polymarket US's help center:

Verification before you can trade

You sign up with Google or Apple ID, then give your date of birth, phone number, legal name, residential address and Social Security number for verification. Polymarket US says you must complete KYC before you can deposit funds or trade. Why Polymarket US asks for your SSN quotes what the number is for, how its privacy policy says it is protected and shared, and what happens if you do not give it.

The new-user offer

New Polymarket US users who sign up with code SPLASH and deposit at least $10 get $25 in trading credits under Campaign A, running from October 16, 2026. Only the first deposit after onboarding counts, each person may receive one incentive credit, and credits land within 24 hours after Polymarket US confirms the deposit. The credits trade and may not be withdrawn as cash. Polymarket promo code SPLASH has the full offer.

Who is writing this review

Chris Spags of Splash Play uses Polymarket US for trading event contracts on sports and other markets. Splash Play is a paid partner of Polymarket, which is stated at the top of this page and again here. This review quotes Polymarket US's documentation for every fact about the app; it carries no star rating, no collected user reviews, and no claim about profit. Trading is risky, and the risk line beside each sign-up link on this page states the terms.
