The full list of funding methods
Polymarket US's funding page lists seven ways to put money into an account from the app:
- Debit card
- Bank transfer (ACH), which Polymarket US runs through Aeropay
- Apple Pay, on iPhone
- PayPal
- Venmo
- USDC, on iPhone and only where available
- Wire transfer
You must finish identity verification before you can deposit. Polymarket US says KYC has to be complete before you can fund an account or trade.
Limits and clearing times
For the three main methods, Polymarket US publishes this comparison:
Polymarket US funding methods compared
| Method | Daily limit | Processing time | Polymarket US suggests it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Debit card | $50,000 | 3 to 4 business days | Small deposits |
| Bank transfer (ACH) | $50,000 | 3 to 4 business days | Medium deposits |
| Wire transfer | $5,000 minimum, no maximum | 1 business day | Large deposits |
The processing time is about clearing, not about when you can start. Polymarket US says a deposit may show in your balance before it fully clears. It calls these funds in flight. You can trade with them, but you can't withdraw them until they clear.
How to make a deposit in the app
Polymarket US gives the steps in three taps:
- Open the Portfolio tab at the bottom of the home screen.
- Tap Deposit. If you've never deposited, the Portfolio page lists the deposit methods instead, and you tap one to start.
- Tap Pay with, or Add payment method if you have none saved, then pick a saved method or add a card, a bank or a wire.
Pick your deposit method with the withdrawal in mind
This is the part most people learn late. Polymarket US's withdrawal rules say money goes back to the same payment method you deposited with, and can't be sent to a new or third-party account. Withdrawals are also first in, first out. Polymarket US's example: deposit $100 by debit card and later $200 by ACH, and the first $100 you withdraw returns to the card.
So the method you choose for your first deposit is also where your first withdrawal will land. The Polymarket US withdrawals guide covers the rest of those rules.
Which methods depend on your phone
Two methods are tied to the device. Polymarket US lists Apple Pay for iPhone only, and USDC deposits for iPhone only and only where available. Debit card, bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo and wire are listed without a device limit.
Apple Pay also matters on the way out. Polymarket US's withdrawal methods include Apple Pay on iPhone only if you deposited with Apple Pay, so a deposit made another way can't be withdrawn to it.
Bank transfers are handled by a third party. Polymarket US says ACH deposits go through Aeropay, which is why the bank-linking screen may show that name rather than Polymarket US.
When deposits can and can't be used
A deposit that shows in your balance can be used for trading before it clears, according to Polymarket US. The difference only shows up when you try to take money out: funds in flight can't be withdrawn until the 3 to 4 business days for card and ACH, or one business day for a wire, have passed.
The exchange itself is open nearly all week. Polymarket US lists a weekly maintenance window every Thursday from 6am to 8am ET, and says some markets keep their own hours based on the event. A deposit made during maintenance still follows the clearing times above.
Deposits are separate from trading fees. Polymarket US's fee schedule charges fees only when a trade executes, and our Polymarket US fees page explains how they are calculated.
Your first deposit and the new-user offer
Polymarket US's Deposit Incentive Program counts only a new user's first deposit after onboarding. For the campaign that began October 16, 2026, that deposit has to be at least $10 and made within 7 days, and the $25 credit is applied within 24 hours after Polymarket US confirms the deposit qualifies. Each person can receive one credit under that program.
The campaign you get is the one tied to the code or link you used at sign-up. The Polymarket promo code page has the full terms for code SPLASH.
If a deposit fails
Polymarket US keeps a deposit troubleshooting page in its help center, and support is reachable at support@polymarket.us or through the in-app chat. Our pages can't see your account, so for a stuck payment those two are the places to go.
