FanDuel Single Game Lineups
A FanDuel single-game lineup has six players from one game under a $60,000 salary cap: one MVP, who costs 1.5 times his salary and scores 1.5 times his fantasy points, and five AnyFlex players at their normal salary and points. The MVP you choose sets how much salary is left for everyone else.
The format
| FanDuel single game | DraftKings Showdown | |
|---|---|---|
| Lineup | One MVP and five AnyFlex players | One Captain and five Flex players |
| Salary cap | $60,000 | $50,000 |
| Top slot | 1.5 times salary, 1.5 times points | 1.5 times salary, 1.5 times points |
| Receptions | 0.5 points each | 1 point each |
Sites revise their rules. The rules page of the contest you enter is the authority.
What the MVP costs you
The multiplier applies to salary as well as points. A player priced at $13,000 costs $19,500 at MVP, which leaves $40,500 for the other five (example prices, not a current slate). A cheaper MVP frees salary for more starters; an expensive one forces a cheap AnyFlex or two. Work out the five players you can afford beside an MVP before you commit to him.
Half-PPR matters more in one game
FanDuel pays half a point per catch, so touchdowns are a larger share of each player's score than on a full-PPR site. In a single game that pushes value toward players with goal-line and red-zone roles.
Why DraftKings numbers do not carry over
The two formats have the same shape, but the cap, the salaries and the scoring differ. A player who is a value on one site may not be on the other, and a projection in DraftKings scoring overrates the high-catch, low-touchdown player here. Use projections for FanDuel scoring and the FanDuel single-game slate.
MVP and AnyFlex are different rows
When you move projections between tools, do not assume an MVP row is the same as an AnyFlex row. Check the platform and use the export that matches your contest format. The import guide lists the checks.

Questions
How does a FanDuel single-game lineup work?
You roster six players from one game under a $60,000 salary cap. One is the MVP, who costs 1.5 times his salary and scores 1.5 times his fantasy points. The other five are AnyFlex players at their normal salary and points.
How is it different from DraftKings Showdown?
The shape is the same: one multiplied slot and five others. The numbers differ. FanDuel uses a $60,000 cap and its own salaries, and pays half a point per reception where DraftKings pays a full point.
Who should be the MVP?
A player with a high ceiling in the way you expect the game to go, at a salary that still lets you afford the five players who fit with him. Check how popular the choice is likely to be before you decide how often to use it.
Can I use DraftKings Showdown projections on FanDuel?
No. The scoring, the salaries and the cap differ. Use projections for FanDuel scoring and the FanDuel single-game slate.
Where can I get FanDuel single-game projections?
In the Splash Play NFL tool, with the site set to FanDuel and the single-game slate selected. SPAGS projections and exports are part of Squirt Squad VIP and Apex.
